Make Up Your Mind
We make countless choices every day like: what to eat, what to wear, what movie to watch, etc. and our decisions have a significant impact on our well being.
Poor decisions making is often a consequence of natural ability decline. This can cloud people’s judgement about what is the right course of action or make it harder to weigh multiple options. The result is that people make questionable choices, or they feel overwhelmed and don’t make any decision, which is sometimes even worse.
In this article, you have some important steps or tips to help you make the correct decision:
1.Write out all the possibilities.
It’s a good idea to write things down .Some studies show that writing lists help to feel an immediate sense of accomplishment ,just from organizing your thoughts into list form. This is often the first step to accomplish tasks and make decisions.
2.Write out the benefits of each.
Underneath or beside each possibility on your list, write the benefits of each choice. What will making that particular decision gain you? How will you stand to benefit from that decision? List all the ways in which that choice would be a good one.
3.Write out the risks of each.
After you consider the pros, consider the cons. What do you stand to lose after making this decision? What will be difficult? or challenging about completing this task? try to consider all the ways you might fail.
4.Order the different choices by difficulty.
In some cases, the challenge of a particular task might be a pros or cons. Depending on the kind of choice you are making, it’s good to organize your options in terms of the difficulty involved in each choice. So ,you can pick the best possible outcome that you’ll be able to pull off. After you go through and list out each of your options, arrange them from most to least difficult or vice versa.
5.Think outside of the box.
If all of the options seem unattractive to you, try to do a little innovating. Think of a non- traditional way of solving your problem to make your self happy.
Finally, Make Up your mind even if your decision wasn’t suitable or right, however you can learn from your wrong decision and it’s better than being unable to make a decision and be empty- handed.
