Role-Playing Strategy
Playing roles is one of the modern teaching methods which depend on the effectiveness of the learner, who uses it in his daily life. It is also used in group teaching, where students play the roles of heroes. To clarify a specific situation or reach a solution to a problem through it, the most important features of this strategy are:
- Gaining new experiences by taking the roles of other people who behave in the same way in realistic situations.
- Stimulating the students’ motivation and increasing their interest in the topic of the lesson; Because it embodies the character he represents.
- Students acquire values, attitudes, and the ability to modify their behavior in an interesting and likable manner.
- Elimination of boredom and dullness . speed in acquiring knowledge and skills, especially when putting the skill in the form of a game or an act.
- It helps in solving students’ psychological problems as it increases students’ confidence in themselves by expressing themselves and their emotions without fear of the public.
- Fluency in speaking, acquiring the skill of acting and recitation, and discovering talented and capable people.
- It helps in highlighting the active role of the learner through listening, attention, observation, discussion, evaluation, imagination, thinking, decision-making, criticism and creativity.
